I grew up a small town farmer’s daughter in Northern California. My career helping clients finance their homes began in 1997 while living in San Diego. In 2004, I relocated to Chicago and brought with me a wealth of knowledge and my compassion for helping people become homeowners and stay homeowners.
I have bought and sold a few homes in the last several years. Upon arriving in Chicago, I became a renter again for a few years and couldn’t help feeling like I was throwing my money away. So I purchased a small and inexpensive fixer-upper in Evanston. The tax benefits from owning a home make my mortgage payments less than what I was paying in rent. I break out my tools and paint brush to build more equity in it as I make it my own.

I believe that in order to find the right home, you must have the right financing. It is very important to buy a home you know you can afford. I enjoy educating those who apply for a mortgage with me, especially if it’s your first time. I offer each first time homebuyer a “Mortgage 101” class when you apply for a free pre-approval. This class teaches mortgage programs that are available to you, estimates your monthly payments, closing costs, and how much down payment you will need. Having the right tools can make shopping for a home a great experience.
I consider myself a Consultant and a Resource. Education is the first step and it doesn’t stop there. I make myself consistently available, have competitive interest rates, and work with the safest and only AAA rated bank in the U.S. – Wells Fargo. I will also attend your closing so you are comfortable and confident in my hands until the home is yours and beyond.
In addition to working on my house, I enjoy watching pro football (Go Bears, Chargers and 49ers!), golfing, reading and visiting places I’ve never been. And I love driving my Jeep in the snow!
